When did you start surfing?
When did you start surfing?
I started surfing was I was about 12 years old and I loved it so much that I started practicing as much as possible to get to where I am now! I am the East Coast Champion for Women's Long board for the season and I also placed 6th in the nation.
Who is your inspiration?
My biggest inspiration would have to be my parents and God for always guiding me to the path I enjoy the most and helping me pursue my dreams!
Do you agree that somehow there are double standards when it comes to girls who surf vs males? Do some people underestimate you, and how do you prove them wrong?
Sometimes it seems as though males are more experienced or more likely to be better in surfing than women but I believe that you can do anything you put your mind to and be just as successful as any male or female.
What is your favorite and most memorable surf trip?
My favorite surf road trip was when I went from Florida all the way across the U.S to get to California and surf the NSSA contest there!

Tell us about the place you grew up in and how did it impact your life as a young athlete?
I grew up in Palm Bay Florida and lived 30 minutes from the beach where I get to surf small waves most of the time; Which made me a better surfer for when I have to fight hard for the big waves.

What makes surfing in Florida unique?
Surfing in Florida is unique because the waves are harder to catch because of how small they are, so my advice to you is to take advantage of when there are waves.

How important are sunnies when it comes to protecting your eyes especially when you're under the sun most of the time? Also, what's your fav ShadyVUE sunnies style?
I always like to put on my sunglasses right when I get out of the water so that my eyes are protected from the harsh rays and I look super cute at the same time in my favorite Kobi styled sunnies!
What is the best surfing advice you've received and what would you wanna say to people who want to try surfing or who haven't tried surfing?
The best advice I have received for surfing is that having fun is what it's all about and knowing why you first fell in love with surfing.I would definitely suggest when you first start surfing that you don't give up and keep trying!
